For B612 we created a conceptual website that creatively evoked the feelings our client’s mysterious wellness product elicited. I did the illustrations for this project, and paired them with the branding and interfaces my team and I had worked on collaboratively. For the illustrations I was inspired by the whimsical words from our client, and created a hand drawn style to bring the human aspect back into the digital space.

Role: Illustrator + UX Designer

The main thing I worked on for this project was the illustrations. With vague, yet enticing prompts from our client, I was able to really explore my creativity in this project. We decided to go for a minimalistic web page layout that allowed the illustrations to shine through and give the viewer that dreamy, whimsical experience our client had hoped for. In terms of style, the hand drawn illustrations paired with the simple grain gave the website a paper, intimate feel. The black and white, detailed illustrations juxtaposed with the subtle peach gradient balanced the modern with the familiar. Allowing the medium of web to be highlighted while still having that very human feel.
